How to get rid of dark knees and elbows. Creating black areas on the elbows and knees can happen to any person, regardless of their skin tone. It is usually due to the accumulation of dead cells and thick skin that leads to the appearance of black. Creating dark areas at these points is also a very common phenomenon due to excessive exposure to the sun. Also, dryness can cause blackheads due to the lack of fatty glands in these areas.

However, you can easily get rid of this problem by following some of the treatments below.

1) Lemon:

Rub a lime, lemon or even lemon juice on your elbows and knees and allow it to act for 15-20 minutes. Then dip a towel in warm water and rub it in the problem areas.

2) Baking soda:

Mix 1 teaspoon soda with some milk and apply the paste you created on your knees and elbows. Scrub the area in circular motions and repeat the process day after day or every three days and you will notice the difference.

3) Milk, honey and turmeric:

Mix a little turmeric with milk and honey and create a soft paste. Apply it to areas where you have black spots and allow it to act for 20 minutes. Then rub the mask for 2 minutes with wet hands and rinse. Turmeric acts as an antiseptic, honey as a moisturizer and milk as a bleach.

4) Fruit:

Lemon, tomato, and grapes are fruits with whitening properties and are essential ingredients to get rid of dark problem areas when used properly. You can spread the juice of any whitening fruit regularly or apply different fruits on different days.

5) Yogurt and vinegar:

Make a mixture of yogurt and vinegar and apply it to the problem areas. Allow to dry and then rub in circular motions for 2-3 minutes and rinse. These two ingredients moisturize and cleanse the skin and when they work together, they restore the black color of the skin.

6) Oxyzene:

Dip a cotton swab (about 3.5%) and apply it to the problem areas. Repeat the procedure twice a day and enjoy the whitening properties that lead to discoloration of the area.

7) Potato:

Potato has natural whitening properties. Grate a thin slice of potato in the blackberry areas or take the potato juice and apply it to the problem areas. After drying rinse with plenty of lukewarm water.

8) Sugar Scrub:

Add olive oil and sugar until you create a homogeneous paste. Rub the mixture in blackened areas. This will remove dead cells, clear areas and remove contaminants if any.

9) Olive oil, turmeric, and sugar:

Mix half a teaspoon of turmeric and a tablespoon of olive oil with a tablespoon of sugar. After mixing it well, apply the mixture on elbows and knees and allow it to act for 20 minutes. Finally, rinse with plenty of warm water.

10) Coconut oil:

A combination of lime juice and coconut oil can work very well to get rid of dark and hard skin in the areas of the elbows and knees. So mix a tablespoon of coconut oil and a tablespoon of lime juice and apply it to the problem areas. Exfoliate with a towel dipped in warm water and see the difference.
