Small changes for healthy hair

A few small changes in our care are enough to get healthy and shiny hair. Most of us have a laid back attitude when it comes to painting a picture of ourselves and our children. The good news is that there are some small changes that can make a big difference in the look of our hair. So let’s see what they are.

* Mask before shampooing

Did you know that hydration is essential during and after bathing but did you know that it is just as important before you take a bath? So start applying the hair mask before bathing and wrap your head with a towel so that the moisturizing composition penetrates better. Leave it for at least half an hour and bathe as usual. Instead of a mask, you can also use coconut oil, olive oil, or castor oil, just then be sure to apply the shampoo first and then the water. After shampooing, apply conditioner to the ends of your hair and after shampooing, also apply moisturizing oil to the ends of your hair.

* Lower the temperature

As you probably know, frequent use of hot styling tools damages the hair. So when using a hairdryer, prefer the operation with cool air and the use of a brush with natural hair, which does not cause static electricity. Also, be careful not to use the hairdryer on wet hair, as then they are more sensitive and prone to breakage. Before using any styling tool, do not forget to apply a special product to your hair that protects it from heat.

However, hot water also damages your scalp and hair. As relaxing as the feeling of hot water is after a hard day, you should avoid it if you want shiny hair, as it removes natural oils from the scalp and leaves your hair scales “open” and consequently your hair dry. So try bathing or even rinsing your hair with cold water.

* Forget the hair towel

The towel creates friction, causing the hair to wear out and cause frizz. So wipe your hair with an old, cotton t-shirt that reduces friction and you will see a difference.

* Do not rush to comb your hair

When wet, hair is more prone to breakage and wear. Take the comb out of the shower and be patient until your hair is almost dry to untangle it. In fact, there are special brushes available on the market that untangle the hair more easily, reducing hair breakage.
