The winter beauty routine. The right steps to restore our lost comfort, elasticity and radiance to our skin. The weather is gray, blows cold and freezes. The ideal season for cocooning. But what happens when the skin is exposed to such weather?
Winter is undoubtedly the most difficult time of year for the skin. The cold, frosty air and the dry climate of indoors due to the air conditioning disrupt the hydrolipidic barrier and strip the skin of its natural oils and moisture. Even the oily type can become dehydrated when the temperature is too low. So imagine what it can cause to the normal or dry and sensitive type.
The first “victims” of winter are lips that crack and peel while the skin “pulls”, blushes and in some cases licks.
With this in mind, the best tactic is to enrich our grooming process with the right compositions, especially at night. When the skin repairs its damage and it is time to absorb all the beneficial ingredients we offer.
So let’s look at what you can do in detail. Hint: The maximalist motto “the more the better” will become the core of your approach. Only in this way will the skin restore its hydrolipidic film, deeply hydrate and regain its lost radiance, softness and elasticity. Let’s see The winter beauty routine.
1. Makeup remover with a cleansing oil
Put aside the micellar water and the cleaner with acids and active agents for a while. Prefer a cleansing oil that will be much more gentle on your skin by gently but effectively removing makeup and dirt.
2. Cleaning with a Nourishing Cleanser
Continue with a thorough cleansing, but be careful not to remove its precious natural oils and moisture from the skin. So, for the second stage of double cleansing, choose a rich formula in lipids and emollients. If you want a smooth and velvety skin like velvet, then you can choose a mild nutrient with lipid and sugar micro-nutrients. Remember that the richer the composition, the better.
3. Hydration with Serum Hyaluronic Acid
Referring to the Korean treatment process, the application of serum or booster is the basis of skin-strengthening and possibly the most important. So, after cleaning, apply the serum or booster directly with hyaluronic acid. We have mentioned many times its ability to absorb up to 1,000 times its weight in water, so its value is self-evident. Tamp movements until it is completely absorbed before proceeding to the next step.
4. Nourishing with a moisturizing oil
If you do not wish to use another serum for another purpose, such as anti-aging or discoloration, then go straight to applying an oil rich in herbal extracts. Choose a blend of high-quality herbal extracts, such as anhydrous lavender, anti-aging rose, soothing calendula, nocturnal flower. The oil adds another layer of moisturizing to the skin and seals it.
5. Rebuild with a moisturizing or anti-aging cream
After preparing the skin and providing it with a moisturizing base, it’s time for the cream. The drier the skin, the stronger the cream should be. So put aside the gels or thin-film compositions by summer and choose rich lipid compositions. If you need anti-aging, then choose a composition with resveratrol, isoflavones, tetrapeptides, vitamin E and lipids such as argan oil, avocado oil, and rapeseed. Ingredients that protect the skin stem cells and have a rejuvenating, firming effect.
Alternatively: Instead of moisturizing cream, before bedtime apply a mask that enhances the natural production of hyaluronic acid, reduces its loss and at the same time “fills” the fine lines and wrinkles. Prefer a non-washable mask and allow it to work all night.
6. Repair with a lip balm
After completing the evening care process, make sure to apply the lips with the appropriate stick that will gently and relieve them from stinging and pulling. Avoid formulations with oil derivatives, parabens, and artificial fragrances, as they cause greater dehydration and allergic reaction to sensitive skin. Instead, opt for an intensive repair balm with shea butter, karate, cocoa, honey, vitamin E and beeswax.
7. Moisturizing Mist
If at night you feel your skin pulling, soak yourself in a glass of water and spray your face with a mist rich in hot water, trace elements and minerals that will enhance the hydrolipidic barrier and relieve the sensation “Pull”.
