Congenital moles are small in size (diameter from 0.5 to 1.5 cm), medium (diameter from 1.5-10 cm) and large (diameter more than 10 cm). Due to the high risk of degeneration into a malignant tumor, large and medium moles can be hazardous to health. These include flat borderline acquired moles, especially if they decrease or increase. A mole can degenerate into a malignant tumor (melanoma) if:

  • in the field of education there was a burning sensation, itching, bleeding;
  • redness appeared around the pigmented lesion.

Removing moles in closed areas of the body can be done at any time of the year. Moles located in open areas of the body are recommended to be removed in autumn, winter or early spring in order to avoid sunlight.
